Prepared to enjoy the game? This week many find themselves instinctively preparing to watch the ‘Big Game’, yet with precautions too. The restrictions we face are minor compared to those which faced Daniel and his 3 fellow exiles from Judah.  Let us rejoice amid restrictions and cheer on the teams as they bring their best to the game. This is what Daniel and the remnant of Judah did during the 70 years of exile; practiced their faith, daily keeping their eye on God. We too are blessed with confidence grounded in faith so we can face everyday game challenges.

We pray you are blessed to worship with this service.  Emmanuel Lutheran, Shenandoah, Iowa.  PastorKurt@Yahoo.com call or text 515-850-7670

Our sincere sympathy to Tiffany Kruse and Tyler Kruse on the passing of their mother, Terri Kruse on Saturday, January 30 at her home.  Her visitation at the Nishna Valley Funeral and Cremation was held on Friday, February 5.  Terri will not only be missed by her Emmanuel family but by those in Shenandoah and surrounding areas.  She touched so many lives during her 27 years in Shenandoah.  Our prayers are with her family and friends.

In accordance with Chapter 10, (Congregational Meeting) C10.01 and C10.03 of the Emmanuel Lutheran Constitution, the Church Council has set next Sunday, February 14, 2021 following the 10:30 a.m. Worship Service as the date for the Emmanuel Lutheran Annual Meeting.  This meeting will be in-person and a Zoom meeting, which will be held simultaneously in accordance to the Model Constitution, Chapter 10 (Congregational Meeting) C10.08 and adopted by the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Council by Consent Agreement.  Social distancing and masks will be observed.
