For all who chose safety in avoiding the group gathering at our “Parking Lot” worship today, or otherwise, here is this week’s online worship service. We will continue to record on Saturday afternoons at Emmanuel; until we have internet service which will handle live streaming on Sundays in person worship would be on Saturday. Yet is pending Council approval much influenced by Emmanuel’s responses to the survey sent to you this week. Likewise continue to watch your email regarding in-person worship at St Paul’s. Regardless we are committed to provide you with an online worship option; particularly for those with underlying health concerns. Stay home, stay safe. Topically this week’s worship is focused on the Power the Holy Spirit has given believers. This week I apply the evidence to current circumstanced calling for unity in the power of the Holy Spirit we can see at work in the events of that first Pentecost. And today the Holy Spirit moves and empowers believers to respond to events like the death of George Floyd with calm and unity to work across boundaries for accountability to a lasting solution. We cannot know all the factors behind the violence yet frustration with past promises of government officials is one we too can speak to from the foundation of our faith in God and mercy demonstrated by Jesus. May we continue to be the church in Christ’s image and love.
